If you write code...

...and your program is configured to alert you through e-mail when something goes wrong, make sure you put limits on how often you are notified and how many you are allowed to send.

Otherwise you'll be like on of my developers that just received 558,982 e-mails in less than 30 minutes from one of his applications.

No, our Microsoft Exchange server did not crash, but it did get mysteriously slower there for a bit.

Hee hee. Rookie programmer mistake. Always put someone else's email address in there instead. Not that I've ever done that...
