Chalk River Questions

How do you reassure a prospective buyer that the regulator will not be a problem? Push the regulator out of the way.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why the hell did all parties agree to pass the bill overriding CNSC? (For that matter, why can't other nuclear facilities produce radioisotopes? Nobody seems to have thought--before just recently--about the fact that the supplier of half the world's isotopes is reaching the end of its operating cycle. Shouldn't this have been planned for, oh, ten, fifteen years ago?
The more I read into this, the more questions come up. One (almost) hopes for a (small) accident at Chalk River, just to vindicate the CNSC.
